Life in 10 Minutes Book Talk

Join Life in 10 Minutes authors Hope Whitby and Kristina Hamlett for a deep dive into Unzipped Issue 2: She Lives Here. Hope Whitby will bring her experience as a book club leader, literary event coordinator, and bibliophile to this online Book Talk. Hope and Kristina will discuss the themes in She Lives Here and the joy and pains of bringing real life to the page. Kristina will follow up with a discussion of Hope's book, Traveling the River, and where she is in her author journey almost 2 years after publication. We'd love to see you there!

Poetry is Possible: Your Craft (Life in 10 Minutes Writing Class)

CLASS DETAILS

In this intermediate poetry class, we will delve into specific elements of craft with the goal of learning more about who we are as poets while seeking to strengthen long-term poetic endeavors. This class includes poetry readings, prompts (if needed), discussions, and workshops. 

Requirements: basic knowledge of poetry and unpublished poems to be workshopped 

ABOUT ONLINE CLASSES

Our online classes meet using Zoom conferencing technology. You will be sent instructions on how to join class once you have registered. You’ll need a smartphone, tablet or computer and an internet connection in order to attend class. For details about technology requirements, visit Zoom’s help site.

Virtual Toast and Q&A: Traveling the River Turns One

Tune into Life in 10 Minute's Facebook page to Join poet Hope Whitby and Life in 10 Minutes Executive Editor, Elizabeth Ferris as they champagne toast one year of Traveling the River.

Hope will read poems and have a discussion with Elizabeth about the book turning one. Elizabeth will ask questions about Hope's favorite moments while promoting her book and any lessons she learned along the way.
